Te Kura o Te Whānau Apanui

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming Te Kura o Te Whānau Apanui and their Year 7 & 8 students to Waikorire. 🌊☀️ It was an awesome day hosting — the tamariki were engaged, respectful and brought great energy with them.

They came to learn about Te Toka a Tirikawa, a landmark connected to their ancestor. Seeing them step into that space, listen to the kōrero and really connect with the history was something special. 🌿✨

The weather showed off for us, the moana was calm and the group made the whole experience enjoyable for our team.

Overall, it was a beautiful day of connection, learning, and sunshine.
