PIPI MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. About Pipi Membership
Pipi Membership is part of the Mauao SUP Club and gives registered members access to selected Mauao Adventures equipment, activities and member benefits during our operational season.
2. Membership Benefits
During your membership, registered Pipi Members receive:
A minimum of one 1-hour board and equipment use per day when our beach station is operating.
One Intro to SUP Lesson for all registered members in your group, taken together as one group lesson.
10% off most full-priced retail items.
Member-only discounts on selected Mauao Adventures events and activities.
Member discounts cannot be used with other discounts or promotions unless stated otherwise.
3. Membership Period
Your membership starts on the date selected at registration and is valid for one year.
Memberships do not automatically renew. We may contact you before your membership expires with the option to register again.
4. Membership Fees
Pipi Membership is $150 for the primary member, with up to four additional registered members able to be added for $75 per person. Full payment is required at registration.
Membership is personal to the registered member and cannot be transferred to another person.
5. Using Your Membership
Membership benefits may only be used by registered members.
Equipment use and activities are subject to operating hours, weather, safety requirements, equipment availability and scheduled events.
Our usual location is Pilot Bay, Mount Maunganui, although locations may change depending on the activity or operating conditions.
Bookings are recommended for equipment use and may be required for events or activities where places are limited.
Members must meet any age, fitness and safety requirements applying to the relevant activity. Pipi Membership is available from 8 years of age.
6. Operating Season
Our usual operating periods are:
Daily during the September/October and April school holidays.
Daily from Boxing Day to Waitangi Day.
Weekends during Terms 1 and 4.
Operations remain dependent on weather, safety, events and other operational circumstances. We recommend checking our current operating status before visiting.
7. Membership Holiday
If you expect to be unable to use your membership for an extended period, you may request a membership holiday.
Email kiaora@mauaoadventures.co.nz at least two weeks in advance with the period requested. Membership benefits cannot be used while your membership is on hold.
Where approved, the membership period will be extended by the corresponding approved period.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
Pipi Membership is generally non-refundable once registration and payment have been completed.
This does not limit any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law.
9. Changes to Membership Benefits
We may update membership benefits or operating arrangements from time to time.
If a change materially reduces the benefits available to a paid member during their current membership period, we will provide reasonable notice and an appropriate remedy where required by law.
10. Member Conduct and Safety
To help keep everyone safe and ensure an enjoyable experience, members must follow staff instructions and use equipment responsibly.
Mauao Adventures may suspend or cancel membership where a member:
Participates while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Is abusive towards staff, other members or members of the public.
Fails to follow reasonable safety or equipment instructions.
Acts in a way that puts themselves or others at risk.
Misuses equipment or membership privileges.
11. General Terms
These terms apply specifically to Pipi Membership.
Members must also comply with the Mauao Adventures General Terms & Conditions and any safety or participation requirements applying to individual activities.
