* Mauao is currently closed due to severe landslips. We are currently operating an alternative walking route while we wait for the mountain to reopen. If you are interested in Mauao-related activities, we will provide the most up to-date product information on request.

WHAT WE DO
Waka Ama (Outrigger Canoe) lessons, adventures and shore excursions.
Stand Up Paddling lessons, hires and adventures.
Land-based guided walks and workshops on Mauao, the mountain.
Scheduled services, from short samplers through to full-day packaged experiences.
Suited to participants with a moderate level of fitness. Not suitable for reduced mobility issues.
Sessions can be tailored for education, cultural and environmental awareness, technique development.
Complimentary port pick-ups half an hour before the session start time.
WAKA AMA (Outrigger)
A 6-12 person canoe facilitated by experienced steerers. All sessions include an on-shore lesson and on-water guidance. Paddles and life jackets included, plus equipment required for experiences. |
CULTURAL WALKS
Facilitated by our knowledgeable story tellers. Stories of our Māori ancestors who sailed in over 700 years ago, and our European ancestors who reached Aotearoa in the 1800s. Stunning scenery, lush with native plants and a chance to see local wild life. |
STAND UP PADDLING
Facilitated by experienced and qualified instructors. All sessions (excl. hires) include an on-shore lesson and on-water guidance. Personalised to work with the client’s capabilities and competencies. |

MOUNTAIN TO SEA - WAKA AND WALK EXPERIENCE
Fully guided 4-hour experience with 60-mins waka ama, 60-mins walk, 30-mins beach picnic, and ample time for preparation, transitioning and enjoyment.
1 scheduled experience per day.
Age 8 years and up.
Minimum 3 adults, maximum 30 participants.

MAUAO WALK AND WORKSHOP
* Alternative walking route in place during Mauao closure. Interested agents will be provided product updates as they occur.
Cultural Walk Around Mauao and Weaving Workshop.
Seasonal workshop - rāranga (weaving), rongoā (plant medicine), pest management, native wildlife protection.
Fully guided 3-hour experience with 90-mins walk, 60-mins workshop, 30-mins transition and snacks.
1 scheduled experience per day. Pre-book only.
Open to all ages.
No minimum, maximum 40 participants.
