STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING



EVERY DAY ACTIVITIES  - DISCOUNTED WITH 4 OR MORE

Here’s a breakdown of the services we offer:


30 minute, 1 hour, and 2 hour SUP Hire.

INCLUDES - A board, paddle, leg rope, and life jacket.
EXCLUDES - A basic on shore lesson (see next option)

This service does NOT include a lesson, and participants will be on the water under supervision. 



Express Lesson
– 1 Hour

INCLUDES - A board, paddle, leg rope, life jacket & basic on shore lesson.
EXCLUDES - No guide on the water (see next option)

This service includes a 15-minute (max) land-based technique session, followed by unguided time on the water to apply your new skills and explore the harbour at your own pace. 


Intro to SUP – 1 Hour
 
INCLUDES - A board, paddle, leg rope, life jacket, basic on shore lesson and an expert guide.

This product includes a 15 minute (max) land-based technique lesson, followed by time on the water to apply your new skills AND you have an instructor alongside you to provide technical tips and support where needed.


SUP Adventure – 2 Hours

INCLUDES - A board, paddle, leg rope, life jacket, basic on shore lesson, an expert guide AND some light refreshments.

This product includes a 15 minute (max) land-based technique lesson, followed by time on the water to apply your new skills AND you have an instructor alongside you to provide technical tips and support where needed.

You'll land on a beach, share some snacks and beverages and take a short walk, where your instructor will share a kōrero about the area’s culture and/or history — before paddling back to base. 



PLEASE NOTE

- We have a limit of 20 boards. 
- There is no guarantee that participants will stay dry, so expect to get wet. 

- Children 7 years and under cannot paddle independently and must be actively accompanied by an adult guardian.
- Children 8 to 15 years can paddle independently however parents have to actively supervise them from the beachside. 
- Ages 16+ are classified as adult for our services

 

INTRO to sup (stand up paddle-board)

MAX OF $50PP FOR 1 HOUR. MAX OF 20 PARTICIPANTS AT ONCE.

Our introduction to paddling lesson is an immersive experience where we explore the shores of Pilot Bay. It includes an on-shore lesson and the remaining time is spent on the open water, building confidence and skill development as we go. Participants get to be apart of unique on-water challenge to earn points and win! Participants are at high risk of falling in and having a great time.

INTRO to waka ama (outrigger canoe)

MAX OF $50PP FOR 1 HOUR. MAX OF 20 PARTICIPANTS AT ONCE.

Our introduction to paddling lesson is a great experience for tamariki to comfortably explore the shores of Pilot Bay. It includes an on-shore lesson and the remaining time is spent on the open water, learning to paddle as a team, before putting skills to action on the water. We can stop to share some kōrero of Mauao, before we prepare to do some competitive racing! Participants will get wet up to their knees, and may experience splash back from the person paddling in front.

MAX OF $20PP FOR 1.5 HOUR. MAX OF 20 PARTICIPANTS AT ONCE.

Our cultural walk of Mount Maunganui will take you on a short adventure throughout the local community and near the coastline. We'll show you culturally significant landmarks that hold stories of our ancestors and also learn how it’s utilised by our wider community.

We'll be sure to share our knowledge on the different species of plants/wildlife that flourish in our area and teach others about what we can do to protect it.

When you book in with us, you will receive a booking confirmation and gain access to our RAMS procedures. With no deposit required, we make it simple to plan ahead!

Our activities are weather dependent and we may have to cancel. We’ll monitor the weather leading up to the session and communicate any concerns. We encourage you to create a back up plan, which we can do together during our session planning!
