GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
All activities are weather and water dependent. Conditions may require us to change, relocate, postpone or cancel a booking. WE DO NOT CONTROL THE WEATHER. The weather is changeable throughout the day and forecast conditions may not be accurate. Please consider this when making a booking as modifications are a regular process for our activities.

2. BOOKING CHANGES
Where changes are necessary, we will give you as much notice as reasonably possible. Conditions can change quickly, so sometimes a decision may not be made until shortly before your booking. Please provide accurate contact details and check your messages before your booking. We are not responsible for missed notifications sent to the contact details provided.

3. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
If we change or cancel your booking and the alternative offered does not suit you, you may cancel and receive a refund, less any genuinely non-refundable third-party booking or card processing fees.

If you cancel less than 12 hours before your booking, no refund will normally be provided unless there are reasonable circumstances for the cancellation.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

4. CHILDREN
Participants aged 15 and under must be signed in by a parent, caregiver or responsible adult. Children aged 7 and under must be accompanied on the water by a responsible adult.

5. SAFETY AND PARTICIPATION
All participants must complete our Participant Waiver where required and follow the safety briefing and reasonable instructions of Mauao Adventures staff.

We may refuse or stop participation where we reasonably believe it would be unsafe for the participant or others to continue.

6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customers must provide accurate booking information and tell us about anything that may affect their ability to participate safely. Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of equipment provided to them.

7. PRIVACY
Personal information collected through bookings and activities will be used to manage our services, safety and customer communications and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
